Students receive:

• An Iowa production industry overview, including the Iowa Film Office, IMPA, Iowa Scriptwriters Alliance, college programs, film festivals and student and professional producers;
• Set orientation including job descriptions, chain of command and set etiquette
• Specific training in production grip equipment terminology, transport, set-up and take-down; safety precautions;
• Hands-on experience in doing a variety of scene “set-ups” during the 2-day training, culminating in shooting a short production Sunday afternoon
