The Iowa Motion Picture Awards are given by the IMPA in recognition of outstanding creative and technical achievement in Iowa's moving image production industry, in all its forms.  In this contest, there are two levels of recognition: nominees in each category will receive an Award of Achievement; and the winner in each category will receive the Award of Excellence.

The 2010 Iowa Motion Picture Awards will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Downtown Holiday Inn located at 1050 6th Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa.

This program is funded, in part, by a grant from the Iowa Community Cultural Grant program administered by the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.
